A/N: [Universe Alterations] Mixed pairings: Satan/Jack, Melvin/Toby (Pretty much the story behind the pairings in Sick Day)

     Bang! Crash!!

Jack jolted upright in bed as the sound of several large objects hitting the floor resonated from outside his bedroom.

"What the fuck...?",He muttered under his breath as he glanced over at his alarm clock. 1:30 A.M..

He hesitantly climbed out of bed and crept to his bedroom door as a slow bout of cursing filled the air outside. "Fuck, God damn it.",That voice was miraculously familiar..

Jack set his jaw in irritation and swept out into the hall. Who the fuck was trying to sneak into his house at almost 2 in the morning?

He swore to God if this was another one of Toby's stupid stunts..

Jack paused as he stepped around the corner.

    There was nobody there..

"What the..?",He swore he heard someone out here..

He looked around for a second, and not seeing anything truly out of place decided to go back to bed.

Lucifer grimaced as he fell out of the dark portal end and tripped over the edge of a little brown table. The resulting clatter of splintering wood and glass objects smashing against the floor would be enough to wake anybody.

"Fuck, God damn it!",He cried out as he started pulling little chunks of broken wood out of his palms.

He froze when he heard the slow creak of  a door being opened and the unfortunate inhabitant of the house he'd accidentally crashed into stepped out into the hall. Lucifer screwed his eyes shut and willed himself and the mess to disappear.

Luckily, his magic seemed to work as the house's owner made their way into the living area,"What the..?"

Lucifer looked up in confusion. That face looked oddly familiar. Where had he seen this man before?

He watched in silence as the other man took a good look around the room then satisfied with his search went back to his room.

The gears in Lucifer's head were turning double time as he searched for a name to match with the face in his mind. He knew he had seen him before...just in...another dimension...

     He had it!

That adorable intern at that company he often haunted. What was his name..Melvin? Right.

Well, he was officially curious to see him up a bit closer.

Jack was roused from sleep once again as his bedroom door creaked slowly open.

He sat up quickly, kicking the sheets off, and looking around for the source of the disturbance. "W- Who's there?",He whispered into the chilled darkness, staring calmly into the open doorway.

     ...

There was a small shuffling noise somewhere along his left side. He reached out to flick on the light on his bedside table when his hand suddenly met with a very solid, but very invisible obstruction.

Jack pulled his hand back immediately.

"...I didn't mean to disturb you.",A very familiar voice spoke to him from the ether.

He swallowed hard and reached out again. The unseen creature grasped his hand, what felt like sharp claws scraped along the back of his wrist.

Suddenly the air in the room shifted as if something were trying to pull all of the energy out of it, and an outline of his strange visitor started to form before him.

"Hello.",The devilish man said to him with a bright smile,"And sorry about your coffee table.."

Brooo, how do you even come up with these brilliant stories?
You're awesome~ :iconloveloveplz:

That last line, oh my god. I just love how nonchalant Satan is xD
Just as Vlad had said, the title also reminds me of that (horrible) movie. :scared:
